The Mules I Wish I had in My Closet

Article by Mackie Schroeter

Mules are back and I am so here for it!

This 90s trend has been dominating the shoe scene throughout 2019, and they aren’t going away anytime soon. You can find mules in every color, design, heel height, and price range – which makes them wearable with any outfit and any occasion.

I finally got on this trend during the summer when I bought a basic black suede pair, and they quickly became my go to shoe, but I don’t want to stop there! These are my picks for the most unique and budget friendly pairs that I wish I had in my closet right now!

ASOS
Faux croc and studs? YES please! Pair with a chunky knit sweater and jeans for a Fall look that is unique and sophisticated. This deep green color is nothing like anything else in my closet, and I am dying to get my hands on these!

Zara
Hands down, Zara makes some pretty cool shoes, and these are no exception. The mesh really gives this shoe a romantic feel that I haven’t seen many brands doing. This shoe is the perfect match to a date night dress or jumpsuit.

ASOS
I love this pair because they scream business casual. For all us college students, first semester is the time for career fairs and interviews, so pair these with your favorite work separates for a look that really stands out from the crowd.

Zara
If you know me, you know I really don’t do pink, but this shoe is the exception! Adding these to a monochromatic black look would be so fun, and they would even work for a fall wedding or sorority formal. I know what my next paycheck is going to!!

Nordstrom Rack
Snake print is the perfect addition to give any outfit a bit of edginess. Pair this shoe with your favorite ripped denim and oversized graphic t-shirt for a wearable look that will take you to class and your night plans.

There you have it – these are my favorite mules right now! I hope you find a pair you like too.

Happy shopping!
