With warm weather on the horizon and break just around the corner, I wanted to leave SEASON readers with a fashion lookbook for the summertime. These are a few outfits I’ll be wearing all summer long!
Outfit #1:
As hot as the weather gets during the summer months, I still find myself getting cold at night. This Brandy Mellville tank layered under an off white H&M sweater is perfect for colder summer nights. I paired it with a pair of baggy Levi jeans and a black belt with a silver buckle. My Adidas Sambas were the perfect finishing touch to this casual look.
Outfit #2:
I can never find white tank tops that aren’t completely sheer, so why not play into that and add a fun bra underneath while it’s still warm enough to do so? The white tank is from Levi’s, and I paired it with my Tommy Hilfiger denim shorts, giving off a simple, effortless look. I added a black leather fringe belt to match the Lulu’s boots. But the star of the show was the black coquette bra peeking through my white tank because it adds a sexy touch to an otherwise plain outfit.
Outfit #3:
I love to incorporate more floral, feminine patterns in my outfits to match nature in the summer months. This adorable purple floral top is from Hot Haus Market, and I love pairing it with this thrifted denim mini skirt; the chunky belt I am wearing is also from the thrift store. I paired the outfit with my go-to boots from Lulu’s.
Outfit #4:
For a sporty, elevated athleisure outfit, I always flock towards any type of baby tee with sports memorabilia on it -- and, before you ask, I do think it's weird to quiz me on the athletes who play for the team I’m wearing. I added my Wrangler jorts, which are another summer staple for me because they’re so comfortable and effortlessly cool. I finished the outfit with my baby blue Jordan dunks for a fun pop of color.
Outfit #5:
I think throwing on a jersey can be a cool way to still wear comfy clothes but slightly elevate them from low-level casual. The base of my outfit are thrifted white shorts and a black tank from Brandy Melville as well as this super cool thrifted Wilson baseball jersey. My staple Sambas complete the look.
Outfit #6:
I’m going to channel the 2014 tumblr girl aesthetic all season long. Skirts are a great way to stay cool in the summer, especially on days when putting on denim shorts sounds unbearable. This long beige maxi skirt is from a thrift store in Europe, and I paired it with this lace tube top from American Eagle. I layered on some thrifted belts, which is my favorite thing to do right now, and used my Lulu’s boots to finish off the outfit.
Outfit #7:
Summer is the best time to pull out and style my favorite dresses. This gorgeous gold slip dress has to be my favorite thrift find of all time, and the black lace detail on the top of the dress adds a perfect touch of texture to balance the simplicity. I love mixing super feminine dresses with my chunky black boots to mix and match different aesthetics.
Outfit #8:
This is another gorgeous dress that I will be wearing all summer; it’s a thrifted Victoria Secret dress with a beautiful lace neckline and pleats running down the bodice. I paired it with my Lulu’s boots for contrast.
Outfit #9:
Long printed dresses are perfect for tropical vacations or fun date nights. This stunning cheetah print dress has a sheer over skirt and a cinching detail on the bodice. I love how flowy it is and how much it moves when you walk. Again, I paired it with my Lulu’s boots.
Outfit #10:
My final outfit is great for a more formal summer event. I love this thrifted lace top with a bow detail, and it especially shines when paired with this asymmetrical skirt from Urban Outfitters. I love to wear a bolero when it is a little colder out, so I paired the outfit with this one from Amazon. To add a fun accessory, I put on black knit leg warmers with my Lulu’s boots.
I hope you have as much fun creating your summer wardrobe as I did, utilizing some of my tips and tricks to spice it up. Happy summer styling!
