Looks We're Loving: WINTER

Cadence Ast

With cold weather on the horizon and winter coming up, you can stay cozy while also looking fashionable. These are some of my favorite pieces as we transition into the new season.

Outfit #1: Layering is a great way to stay warm while also adding depth to any outfit. This striped gray and navy sweater is a staple for me no matter the season. I added an oversized white button down so that it would peek out and add some oomph to the plain sweater. To accessorize, I thought this silver statement necklace pulled the outfit together. I paired it with my baggy Levi’s jeans and my Sambas.

Outfit #2: Suede is going to be a huge texture this winter. This beautiful, tan, suede blazer is thrifted, and pairing this with brown and gray slacks gives the outfit more of a business vibe. I paired it with some thrifted black boots.

Outfit #3: Going along with the “business core”, this outfit is inspired by corporate fashion. This really cool pinstripe top was a depop find and the dark gray trousers are from Zara. I paired it with black, leather thrifted boots and a leather jacket.

Outfit #4: Having good outerwear this winter will go a really long way. When the winter months hit, the only thing anyone is seeing anyway is your jacket, so having a variety of good winter coats is something everyone should add to their closet. This racing jacket is from SLCT Stock, the black off the shoulder top is a goodwill find, and the really fun cheetah silk pants are from Urban Outfitters. To add a fun pop of color, I wore my baby blue Jordans.

Outfit #5: Wilson Leather is a brand I always search for whether it is in the thrift store or on Depop. Their pieces are such great quality and will keep you warm in the Indiana cold. This beautiful tan leather jacket with fur lining is my most recent pick up from this brand. I paired it with a black off the shoulder top from Brandy Melville and Wrangler blue jeans. My Samba’s completed the look.

Outfit #6: Red has been my favorite color all fall and definitely will continue to be throughout the winter. These burgundy baggy jeans are from Urban Outfitters. To let the pants shine, I went with a basic tank from Brandy Melville. The black puffer jacket is from H&M and is the warmest coat I own. I paired the outfit with some thrifted, heeled boots.

Outfit #7: To round out the winter lookbook, I had to style a fun outfit centered around my favorite jacket and pants. This off white fur coat was a purchase I made at an antique store over the summer. I knew it would come in handy for this season. These Miss Sixty brown corduroy pants were something I found in my mom's closet. She definitely had good style back in the day. I added a black lace top from Urban Outfitters to really let the other parts of the outfit shine. Sambas were the perfect shoes.

Thank you so much for reading about my winter lookbook. I hope to see you guys implementing my winter style tips into your own closets!
